Lions Clubs International is the largest service organization in the world with 1.4 million members.

Duncan Lions Club serves the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada, and was chartered over 50 years ago. The Club assists those in need locally and worldwide with vision, hearing, disabilities, youth programs, and medical related requests.

The club operates Sassy Lion Thrift Store, manages Lions Housing, has 40 members, meets twice a month between September and June, and is considered vibrant and industrious.

LIONS ARE

People who decide to give something back to their community, who are dedicated to finding people in need, and meeting those needs in an efficient and caring way.

Men and women who believe that by working together, they will accomplish far more for their community.

People committed to solving worldwide health and social problems, providing disaster relief globally. The Club donated funds towards Duncan's December 2009 flood victims, and towards the Haiti disaster  and who share this responsibility with every other Lions Club member.

Community members who cherish friendship and fellowship in more than 160 countries, and geographic areas worldwide.

Patriotic, giving allegiance to their country and community while recognizing the need for all people to live in peace.

Dedicated to maintaining the highest ethical and moral standards in their Club, and in their personal lives.
